Texas raised Pop singer songwriter, Melanie M Scheiber who goes by the stage name my friends call me Mel, released a new single “Would you let the Light in” on September 20th, 2021. mfcmM’s musical approach is inspired by wanting her songs to feel like a friend; music that encourages and empowers, creating a sanctuary of sound for the heavy and light moments of life. Now residing in Oahu, Hawaii, mfcmM finds inspiration from artists such as HAIM, Maggie Rogers, Falcon, Ashe, Ingrid Michaelson, Sleeping At Last, Twenty One Pilots, Cody Fry and Jon Bellion.

“Would you let the Light in” is a very dreamy pop track, with soothing music, great melodies and catchy hooks! Mel’s voice is fantastic in this song and does a good job demonstrating her vocal range, you can really hear the beauty in her voice. I really enjoy the backing vocals, they give the song more depth and once the drums kick in the power of the track builds and builds! “Would you let the Light in” gives you such a good, upbeat, happy inspirational feeling inside. It really empowers you as you listen to take control of your life and rise above any struggles you are currently facing. Mel makes you realize that you have the power to change your outcome, your situation and if you are willing to “Let the Light in” things will work out for you! It’s a truly wonderful message and an amazing song!
