If Joey Stuckey was not a musician, he would be....

A TOYMAKER!!! Only seems fitting with this photo of him in a Santa hat!!

Hi Joey! Thanks for being here today! Glad to be here!

If you didn't become a musician, what would you be doing right now?

Good question. I think every child dreams of being an astronaut, and I still think that is an amazing and very important job to have! It is an essential part of mankind’s search for answers that will benefit everyone. Of course, being a blind brain tumor survivor does put somewhat of a limit on jobs I could do, but I would love to teach history at a college or be a toymaker. In fact, I even have a few ideas for toys and games that I would love to create, but I don’t have the sight to do that LOL. Really any job that would further science or the arts would be appealing to me, but I think I got it right as music is a natural extension of my spirit, and the need to make music is at the core of my being.

What was your first CD?

I got two at the same time. The Beatles “A Hard Days Night” and Hearts Of Space “Star Flight 1”. Is there a movie you can quote without fail? Yeah, Monty Python’s “The Holy Grail” and “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back”! What is your favorite genre of music?

I don’t believe in genres as I believe music is a language and has no boundaries. However, I do recognize that in order to market your music and target an audience, we must put music into boxes that don’t really fit. That being said, I love all music from country to classical, rock to jazz and beyond. What is your favorite holiday dish?

I love a good fruitcake and my wife’s dressing. My only contribution to the holiday food preparation is my cranberry sauce, so I like that as well and my Dad makes a mean potato salad! What are you most thankful for?

That I have the opportunity to make music for a living, for my amazing friends and family, and that I am--against all odds--still alive and living a life of intention! Please share with our readers how they can stay connected with you!
