EATING IT ALL UP WITH RUBBER'S 'FRIES & WINGS' SINGLE
Rubber creates an intricately balanced soundscape combining their R&B, Funk, Hip-Hop, Jazz and Soul influences like Frank Ocean, Thundercat, Patrice Rushen, and Amy Winehouse, while maintaining that hot-pink, dynamic feeling of pop music, anthemic and universal. The group is a Philly-based, writing-producing duo made up of singer-lyricist, Andrew Loper, and producer/multi-instrumentalist, John Della Franco formed during their time studying at Temple University in 2018. They started out writing music for fun, but after performing for the first time together in a campus coffee shop, they were signed to the Temple University Record Label and released their first single to critical acclaim sending them up and down the East Coast. The duo shines the brightest in a live setting where their combination of bass-driven grooves and vocal acrobatics has grabbed and held the attention of audiences across the country.

What are your favorite lyrics from your latest single?
"I missed the twist 'cus I stopped to piss" What kind of pull did you feel about making the single?
The express desire to get drunk and act stupid with our friends. We needed a fun song. Are all your writing sessions collaborative or do you go off on your own? Do you have a preference?
Typically John will make the beats on his own and Andrew will write the lyrics and melody on his own and then they come together and color in the picture together in the studio. Do you ever compare the work you bring to the table?
Our individual contributions are different but decidedly very equal when it comes to creating our records. What is standard practice when it comes to if the song is really finished?
The car test, if it sounds good in the car, it's done. What was the goal for making the latest track?
Make something fun and carefree - and have fun doing it. Challenges to the new music that no one would know about?
It all comes down to money, time and resources - nothing too dramatic. Not sure the average person understands how many hours go into a song and its release but that's the magic of being an artist. Favorite memory in the making of this music?
Originally 'Fries & Wings' was written over a Playboy Carti type beat and the whole team hated it. When John sent over the beat that it ended up landing on, Andrew knew immediately that the song would fit. That was a priceless moment. Is there anything off the table when it comes to bringing yourselves into your music?
Definitely not, music needs to be authentic and honest (in some way) to reach people. Leave us on a high note! And share some good news!
We're moving to LA! Very excited for the change of scenery and the professional opportunities. Wish us luck and give us a stream or two! Socials PLEASE: All socials here: https://rubber.biglink.to/dMeD YouTube Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LoznQtu6Gec
